Care & Support

Open Minds, Open Hearts, Open Doors

We believe that no one should have to face life's challenges alone. Our Care & Support groups reflect Christ's love by offering compassion, encouragement, practical assistance, and hope to individuals and families in times of need.  We strive to create a welcoming environment where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and care. Whether you are seeking comfort, healing, guidance, or a helping hand, our church family is here to walk alongside you.

We invite you to explore the opportunities below and discover how St. Mark is serving our congregation and our community.

Narcotics Anonymous

Recovery is a journey, and no one should have to walk that journey alone. St. Mark proudly hosts Narcotics Anonymous meetings, providing a safe, welcoming, and confidential space where individuals seeking freedom from addiction can find encouragement, support, and hope. Through fellowship and mutual support, participants are empowered to take positive steps toward healing and recovery.

Narcotics Anonymous meets Mondays at 5:30 PM

Grief Support

The loss of a loved one can be one of life's most difficult experiences. Our Grief Support ministry offers a caring environment where individuals can find comfort, understanding, and encouragement as they navigate the journey of grief. Through compassionate listening, shared experiences, and faith-filled support, participants are reminded that they are not alone.

The Grief Support meets 3rd Saturdays at 10:00 AM via Zoom.

Veterans Support Group

The Veterans Ministry honors and supports the men and women who have served in our nation's Armed Forces. Through fellowship, encouragement, and resource connections, the ministry helps veterans and their families access information, benefits, and community services that support their well-being and success.

Throughout the year, the ministry provides opportunities for veterans to connect with one another, share experiences, and learn about valuable resources available to them. Each November, St. Mark proudly celebrates Veterans Sunday, recognizing and honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans in conjunction with Veterans Day. We invite all veterans, active-duty service members, military families, and those who wish to support them to become part of this meaningful ministry.

Lay Visitation

Lay Visitation Ministry extends the love and care of Christ to members who are unable to attend worship due to illness, hospitalization, recovery, or other life circumstances. Through visits, prayer, Holy Communion when appropriate, and words of encouragement, volunteers help those who are homebound or in care facilities remain connected to the St. Mark church family.

Justice Ministry

The Justice Ministry is dedicated to promoting justice, restoring hope, and empowering individuals through education, advocacy, and access to essential legal resources. Working alongside volunteer attorneys and legal professionals, the ministry helps individuals understand their legal rights, obtain RAP sheets, navigate the expungement process, and access information that can open doors to new opportunities.

The ministry also encourages civic engagement by assisting eligible community members with voter registration and connecting individuals with trusted legal and community resources. Guided by our commitment to justice and compassion, we seek to uplift marginalized and underserved communities by helping people overcome barriers and build brighter futures.

Expungement Clinics are held the 1st and 3rd Saturdays at 10:00 AM

Transportation Ministry

The Transportation Ministry helps ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in the life of St. Mark, regardless of transportation challenges. The ministry provides transportation for designated worship services, church events, and special occasions, helping members remain connected to their church family.

We are always looking for caring and dependable volunteer drivers who have the appropriate licensing and qualifications to operate the church bus safely. If you enjoy serving others and helping people stay connected to worship and fellowship, we invite you to consider joining the Transportation Ministry.
